Why SMEs switch to fixed fee

The flat-fee model, done properly.

Most agencies charge 15-25% of first-year salary per hire. On a mid-level £45k role that is £7,000-11,000. Ours is £2,995, flat. We run the same full agency workflow. The savings show up in the P&L, not in shortlist quality.

One flat fee, agreed upfront

You pay a single fixed price per hire, quoted before we start work. No percentage of salary. No advertising add-ons. No screening fees. What we quote is what you pay.

Genuine cost saving vs percentage agency

A traditional agency at 20% of a £45k salary is £9,000 per hire. Ours is £2,995, flat. On a £70k engineer the saving is £11,000. On a £120k head of function it is £21,000. We publish the fee.

Real advertising, real screening

This is not a job board. We advertise the role on the major boards, screen every applicant, run first-round interviews and present a ranked shortlist with written notes. Full agency workflow at a flat price.

90-day rebate on every perm hire

Every permanent placement carries a sliding rebate: 100% inside 30 days, 50% at 60 days, 25% at 90 days. If the hire does not stick, you are not paying twice.

One consultant, end to end

Same person from the intake call to the first day of the new hire. Not a team inbox, not a queue of associates. Direct line, no handoffs.

UK-wide, London-based

Head office in South West London, consultants covering all major UK cities. Remote, hybrid and on-site placements handled the same way.

How an engagement runs

From kickoff to signed, properly run.

A clear three-step process built for the niche we serve, not generic recruitment.

01

Fixed-quote intake

A 30-45 minute call. We capture the role, seniority, salary band, location and start date. You get a written intake, a fixed quote and a shortlist deadline before any work starts.

02

Advertise, screen, shortlist

We advertise the role on the major UK boards, screen every applicant, run first-round telephone or video interviews and present a ranked shortlist with written notes. Usually three to six candidates.

03

Offer, onboard, rebate cover

We coordinate the final interviews, help you structure the offer, manage counter-offer conversations and confirm start-date logistics. Rebate cover kicks in from day one, no invoicing games.

Common questions

Questions buyers ask before engaging.

What is a fixed-fee model, and how is it different from a traditional agency?
A traditional recruitment agency charges a percentage of the successful hire’s first-year salary, typically 15-25%. We charge a single flat price per placement: £2,995. Agreed upfront. Regardless of the salary. On a £45k hire the difference is around £6,000. On a £70k engineer it is £11,000. On a £120k head of function it is £21,000.
How much do you charge?
£2,995 per hire. Flat. That is the whole model. It does not vary by role, by salary, by seniority or by sector. What we quote before the intake call is what you pay after the placement.
Is the quality worse because the fee is lower?
No. We advertise on the major UK boards (Reed, Indeed, LinkedIn where relevant), screen every applicant, run first-round interviews and present a ranked shortlist with written notes. The workflow is the same as a traditional agency. What is different is how we charge, not how we work.
Do you charge extras: advertising, screening, interview fees?
No. Advertising, application handling, telephone or video screening, first-round interviews, shortlist presentation, offer support and onboarding coordination are all included in the fixed fee. What we quote is what you pay.
What roles and sectors do you cover?
Office and administration, sales and business development, marketing and PR, IT and software (junior to mid), engineering and manufacturing, finance and accounting, HR and people, legal support, education, retail and hospitality management, logistics and supply chain. Executive search on a fixed retained fee for directors, heads of function and MDs.
What if the hire does not work out?
Every permanent placement carries a sliding rebate: 100% inside 30 days, 50% at 60 days, 25% at 90 days. If the new hire leaves or is dismissed during the window, we re-run the search or refund the appropriate percentage.
How fast is it compared to a traditional agency?
Typical shortlist inside 10 working days, offer accepted within 4-6 weeks. Same speed as a percentage-based agency, because the underlying process is the same.
Are you a job board or a proper recruiter?
Proper recruiter. We advertise, screen, interview, shortlist and support the offer. A job board just posts a role and hands you a stack of unfiltered CVs. Our fixed fee includes the full agency workflow.
